The little samurai’s program is meant to introduce jiujitsu to your child in a fun and interactive way. They will do simple drills and play games that help to improve their coordination, balance and body awareness. They will learn basic techniques that will help them to understand the concept of jiujitsu and build a solid foundation for when they move on to the fundamentals program.
Our fundamentals program is designed for students to spend their first 1-2 years in. You will learn how to get to dominant positions, maintain these positions, escape from bad positions and attack basic submissions. You will also learn concepts that you can apply to all positions. Our fundamentals class is not limited only to beginners and often taken by our colored belts as well.
The advanced program is where you will dive into the more complex and detailed techniques. You will do specific sparring, drills and training where the main focus will be to build a well-rounded game from top to bottom. This class includes more detailed instruction, drills that help you to understand offensively and defensively dealing with different reactions and how to implement your game, amongst other things. This class is designed to cater to those training for over 3 years.
No Gi grappling
We encourage all of our students to take the No Gi classes. We have fundamentals, all-levels and advanced classes throughout the week. In these classes you will learn how to grapple without the use of gi grips. We focus heavily on wrestling, attacking submissions, controlling dominant positions and understanding movement. The pace of the fight is faster without the gi on so you will be able to improve on your timing and reactions in these classes as well.
