Hybrid Jiu-Jitsu
Little Samurai's
Jiu jitsu is a martial art that combines self-defense, discipline and fitness. Oftentimes, parents sign up specifically for self-defense, but find that they gain so much more than just that. Our little samurais program will help your child begin learning so many different skills at a young age.
Little Samurai's
What To Expect
Our classes are 1 hour long and begin with students lining up according to rank. Our instructors will begin the class with warmups or drills, then lead to the instruction for the day. This is when they teach a specific move, position or concept and allow the students to practice with their partners or groups. The instructors will go around and help students or answer any questions. Afterwards, the students will have time for live sparring, where they get to practice the moves they learned in a live training with their teammates.
Why Should You Sign Up With Us
At Hybrid Jiu Jitsu, we value safety and community, and you will find just that with us in addition to our expert teaching. Our instructors have been teaching kids Jiu Jitsu for many years and know the structure and organization required to lead a safe but fun class. You can trust that your child will be in a safe environment that allows them the chance to learn new skills and grow in an engaging way.
Self Defense
As mentioned, Jiu Jitsu offers the chance to learn self-defense which is the primary reason parents sign their kids up! With our Little Samurai’s program, kids gain a basic understanding of what to do if they are in a bad position and how to get out of it.
Discipline
Learning discipline can be tough, but it can also be fun! Jiu jitsu allows kids the chance to learn discipline in a different setting than what they might be used to. Having to be in a structured class requires kids to pay attention, stay focused, follow rules and adhere to a routine. They’ll have to practice taking responsibility for their actions and how they uphold themselves in class.
Team Work
Jiu Jitsu is both an individual sport and a team sport. Each individual is responsible for their own growth and performance but you also get the support and camaraderie from your teammates. This is great for children to learn as they can practice working with teammates, supporting one another, and having fun together. You get the best of both worlds!
Community
“It takes a village to raise a child” is an often used saying that highlights the value of being within a community. When signing up a child in jiu jitsu, it can be a little intimidating at first, but with the right community, your child will be given even more opportunities to develop and grow. At Hybrid Jiu Jitsu, you’ll find a community that cares about your children. Whether it be our coaches, students, or fellow parents, we support one another to help everyone grow in a safe and healthy way.
